| In 1996 we decided to open a retail store for motorcycle related merchandise. Not your ordinary type stuff. The kind of merchandise others don't carry. Biker Basics had become a unique entity thanks to the support of the motorcycle community. We think that's pretty good considering there are over 30 biker related shops are in our area of Tidewater Virginia. Biker Basics works with the other biker merchants, no against them. Biker Basics is a family oriented company and is here to support the sport no matter what you ride. I have been riding motorcycles since 1972. Started out on
a Honda CB350cc. Progressed to a Triumph 500cc. Since 1977 I have
owned this, my current ride pictured below, a 1975 FLH Police Special, as you see in this 8 year old picture, me, Kaiser and the Harley.
It's a great ride and I love it. Laurie, my wife of 17+ years and friend for 27+ years, loves riding with me too. Adam - Co-founder and Co-operator of Biker Basics and bikerbasics.com We had to send that 10year old Rotweiler (Kaiser) to the BIG fenced in yard in the sky during the summer of 2000 due to his failing health. This picture was taken with only him and I and the camera set on automatic and placed on top of a trash can. I had taken about eight photos trying to get him to look at the camera and not follow me as I ran behind the bike before the camera snapped the pic.
